RT. Briscoe’s new workshop to complement engineering curriculum

To perk up engineering curriculum in Nigeria, one of the leading auto dealers in the country, RT Briscoe plc has launched a new auto workshop in Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Ogbomosho.

Following the launch of recent auto garage in University of Lagos, RT Briscoe, franchise dealer of Toyota and Ford in Nigeria said that the workshop would serve as training ground that would balance engineering curriculum for students.

Speaking at the launch of the workshop, which was built in collaboration with the university, Vice-chancellor of the institution, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin, represented by the Deputy vice-chancellor, Professor Timothy Adebayo, expressed gratitude over the workshop.

He said with the installation of modern auto services and repair equipment, the factory would be of great use to academics and training programmes of the University.

Gbadegesin said that the workshop would facilitate engineering programme of the school and give students firsthand experience on the use of some mechanical equipment which would be a perfect complement to engineering learning.

Managing Director, RT Briscoe plc, Seyi Onajide said the workshop was designed to bring quality automobile service support to the University community and its environs.

Onajide, who was represented by National After-sales Manager of the organisation, Olufemi Esan stated that the move was to address the expectations of both the individual and corporate fleet vehicle owners from within the University community and outside the institution in their quest to get quality and satisfactory automobile services.
