Elizade Autoland lauds JAC investments in R&D

Renowned auto manufacturing company in China, JAC, has committed over $100million in building a first-class international Research and Development (R&D) base covering 49173 square meters.

The base is made up of an R&D Centre, passenger cars, heavy-duty trucks, and light-duty trucks authentication centre, design studio among others.

The R&D base can independently undertake the tasks of designing, trial-manufacturing, testing of complete vehicles, and core components, with its independent R&D ranking first in China.By absorbing the essence of the R&D systems of internationally advanced companies, JAC has created a rigorous, scientific and high-efficient product development process.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Elizade Autoland, Demola Ade Ojo, in a statement commended the investments by JAC in research and development, even as he explained that such initiatives have positively impacted on the quality of JAC vehicles.
Elizade Autoland, which is the exclusive representative and sole distributor of JAC vehicles in Nigeria, has been marketing both Passenger and Commercial JAC vehicles such as J4 saloon, S3 Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), S2 and S5 SUVs, as well as T6 pick up, buses and light/heavy duty commercial vehicles for the past four years.

Ojo said: “The JAC vehicles have come to stay, they continue to gain acceptance every day as the initial fear about a new auto brand has vanished after four years of providing quality products and solid after-sales.”

JAC owns 821 invention patents and successfully implemented national automobile development projects. In addition, 44 R&D projects JAC have been incorporated into the national and provincial key science and technological projects, and 55 product technologies have reached the national leading level.

The company’s about 50 years professional manufacturing capacity is facilitated by a developing an internationally advanced commercial vehicle production line equipped with world-class pressing machines, intelligent welding machines and fully automated painting equipment, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 vehicles.

On Passenger car production line, JAC ensures product quality with hardware guarantee with high-tech, high-precision equipment supplied by world-class manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the U.S., including production and automated inspection equipment, welding robots, advanced dust-free management mode, automatic positioning production line design, tilting electrophoresis, and environment friendly water-based lacquer.

Meanwhile, JAC and Volkswagen have announced a joint venture aimed at deepening the cooperation in areas like design, technology, product quality and development of multi-function vehicles. The venture which would affect combustion engine and alternative-energy powered vehicles, would be owned equally by JAC and VW and would be based in JAC’s home town of Hefei.

Also, JAC has introduced internationally advanced technologies and equipment to create a world level engine product line, and achieve the application of GDI,TCI,CTI,TGDI,VVT and other engine technologies, to keep pace with the international level. Now, it has the capability of producing gasoline engines, diesel engines, CNG, hybrid power, and pure electric vehicles, and so on, and the annual production capability has reached 500,000 units.
