The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) has formed new implementation partnership platform with Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG), Seed Association of Nigeria (SEEDAN) and Fertiliser Suppliers of Nigeria (FEPSAN) on micro reforms, especially for smallholder agribusiness in Nigeria.

Concerned about the smallholder agribusinesses in Nigeria that are having the short end of the stick in terms of input supply to make for better production, AGRA is stepping to lift the cause of this group of farmers.

AGRA, according to information released, is committing $700,000 to Micro Reforms for African Agribusiness in Nigeria, a boost that boost the operational position of small farmers in business.

MIRA-Nigeria, a consultative arm of the Alliance hosted a stakeholders workshop at the weekend at Ikeja, Lagos to lay solid groundwork for the programme.

Dr. Tony Bello, coordinator of the talk session said by working with Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, NABG and others, AGRA could help to facilitate micro reforms for agribusinesses as it affects smallholder farmers in the country.
