The Nigerian Economic Students Association (NESA) has said its 2018 conference will afford participants opportunity to be enlightened on global economic trends.

With the theme, ‘Importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) towards the advancement of Nigeria’s Economy’, the event is scheduled to hold from April 25 to 27, 2018 at Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.

In a statement made available to The Guardian, the event will serve as a platform for policy makers, students, economics professionals, analysts, technocrats and the academia to discuss and offer solutions to the various macroeconomic issues relating to the growth and development of Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

“It is an avenue to engage in real economic discuss and improve the participants practical understanding of the Economy. They will also be enlightened on Global Economics trends as well as Sustainable development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN).

“The summit will afford every delegates the opportunity to get project topics and helpful materials to successfully write final year project and also get to expand their network of contacts.”

NESA Abuja chapter organised the event, which will attract schools within and outside Nigeria. The summit is also opened to non-economics students who have realised that everybody, one way or the other, can make a difference in the economy.

Some of the resource persons include, Development Finance department (DFD) of CBN; Securities Exchange Commission (SEC); Mr. Babatunde Oladosu and his colleagues from Edubridge; Mr. Tope Fasua- CEO global Analytics and Mr. Tunde Kamali- Deputy Director of IR at SEC and Prof. Ben Obi- Data Analyst at NBS among others.
