Minister assures Chinese investor of enabling environment

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, has stated that the Federal Government is unshaken in its policy of making industrialisation and agriculture the driving force of the economy, to generate employment and attain food security.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investments, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, has stated that the Federal Government is unshaken in its policy of making industrialisation and agriculture the driving force of the economy, to generate employment and attain food security.

The minister, who stated this at Inner Galaxy Group Factory, (a Chinese Company) located at Obuzor Ukwu in Ukwa West LGA Abia State, said: “Our policies are pro-industrialisation. Hence, we provide the infrastructure that would propel it.”

He lauded the company, which has five subsidiaries and uses metal scraps to produce iron rods and others, saying: “What we saw here has reinforced our commitment to industrialisation.”

Reacting to the Company’s plea for government support in the areas of grant of tax holiday, import wavers and N6b loan facility, the minister, accompanied by the Managing Director of Bank of Industry Mr. Pitan Olukayode, his ministry’s Director of Industrial Development, Mr. Adewale Bakare, assured that government will give the company the necessary incentives to honour its commitments.”
