Amadeus, Dana Air partner on content
Amadeus, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the global travel industry has announced full content agreement with Nigeria’s Dana Air.Under the agreement all Amadeus subscribers in Nigeria and worldwide can now access Dana Air’s full product range, schedules and availability under the same terms and conditions as Dana Air’s website, call centres or ticket offices.
Furthermore to facilitate and simplify the selling, reporting and remitting procedures of IATA accredited travel agents in Nigeria when processing Dana Air bookings, the airline has become a participant in IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP).
General Manager, Nigeria and Ghana, Yann Gilbert, said: “We are delighted that Dana Air has selected Amadeus as its global distribution partner. Our strategy is to provide our travel agencies across West Africa with access to superior and relevant content which can be booked in an efficient and smart way.”
Chief Operating Officer, Dana Air, Obi Mbanuzuo, added that the travel agency channel is a critical component to support the airlines’ distribution strategy, as it seeks to attract leisure and business travellers from within and outside Nigeria with affordable regional air transport services focused on innovation, quality and service excellence.
