Anti-fraud officers hold forum tomorrow

STAKEHOLDERS in anti-fraud functions in various banks will be hosted tomorrow by Access Bank Plc, with the theme: “Fraud Management– The Need for a Harmonised Approach.”

Fraud1STAKEHOLDERS in anti-fraud functions in various banks will be hosted tomorrow by Access Bank Plc, with the theme: “Fraud Management– The Need for a Harmonised Approach.”

The forum is an initiative of the bank to engage stakeholders on how to proactively solve the industry’s fraud challenges and minimise occurrences with active collaboration.

It will provide an opportunity for Anti-Fraud Officers of banks to further interact on ways this menace can be curbed by their joint collaboration and disclosures.

Representatives of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Inspector General of Police, Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC), Akintola Williams Deloitte House, Ernst & Young, KPMG and the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System are expected to attend the forum, among other participants from various banks.

According to the Chief Audit Executive of Access Bank, Yinka Tiamiyu, “the anti-fraud forum is another way Access Bank is demonstrating its commitment to go the extra mile in using collaboration for fraud prevention.”
