Big Brother Naija star, Adekunle Olopade, has officially announced the end of his relationship with fellow housemate Venita Akpofure.
The pair were evidently close during the All Stars edition of the reality show last year.
In an interview with YouTuber Olufemi Daniel, Adekunle reflected on their past connection.
“I believe we were in a relationship in the Big Brother house,” he stated.
“I wouldn’t call it love; that’s too strong a word for the situation. But we had more than just an understanding. What we had in the house felt real.”
However, their relationship changed after leaving the show.
Adekunle disclosed that they discussed their future together but things didn’t go as planned.

“We don’t talk anymore because we don’t have a relationship,” he said.
“We don’t communicate at all. A lot of bad things happened, which I won’t disclose out of respect for her.”
Venita also confirmed their separation during an appearance on Tacha’s ‘The Big Friday Show.’
She reiterated that they are no longer romantically involved and made mention of the differences between their current lives and their time together on the show.
Speaking on Adekunle, she said, “He’s fine. He’s okay. But he is definitely walking his own path. His journey and my journey are completely different.
“I’m significantly older, so I have more experience in life. So, I know a bit more about the direction I want to go in. Also, this is my field of work. His own field of work would probably dabble into this one and cross others. But I’m fine. He’s cool and walking gracefully in his own lane. We are not dating, and that’s how it is.”
