Nigeria’s foremost publishing company, University Press Plc, Ibadan, recently rewarded some of its loyal staff and customers, who demonstrated exceptional initiative throughout last year in their service to the company.

While expressing his delight, chairman of the publishing form Dr. Lalekan Are, said it was the culture of the organisation to celebrate industrious employees and clients, as it would encourage others to emulate them.

“I welcome you to this occasion of Best Staff and Customers Awards ceremony which is part of University Press Plc’s culture of celebrating, encouraging and rewarding commitment, dedication, hard work, loyalty and appreciable contribution of our members of staff and customers towards sustaining our goal of being a leading knowledge-based company.

“This occasion celebrates those staff who have contributed their quota towards oiling the wheel of progress of the company.

Our company is very fortunate to have staff members whose many years of dedication, commitment and loyalty have helped to lift the company to the enviable height it has attained today.

Their loyal service has been instrumental to the company’s growth and accomplishment over the years.

The company recognises the wonderful job each one of you is doing and hopefully will continue to do.

“It is now time to reward the loyalty so as to motivate you to do more and encourage those who are relatively new to look forward to a day like this.

I sincerely urge you and other members of staff not to rest on your oars in making sure the company continues to soar high.

It is only by working hard and working smart that we can make progress and continue to remain in business.

The management and board are always determined to support and reward any staff, who is ready to work towards realising our corporate objectives.”
