SG Storms Music Scene With Wado
“I wanted to do it in the traditional way,” he said.
A Media Publication graduate from University of Buckingham, England, SG started music in 2010. According to him, “I was with another label before I met Kelvin in 2015 and decided to work with his record label, Big Time Entertainment.”
On what influenced him musically, SG said, “Doing music is something I have been dreaming of right from childhood. I used to watch Michael Jackson’s videos while growing up; that influenced me musically. I also listened to a lot of foreign artistes as well and I made up my mind to be greater than them”.
He described his experience in the music industry thus, “It has been good. Life is full of ups and down though, but I cannot complain because music requires a lot of hard work. You have to be focused and determined to make it in the industry. You must have direction as well. I am moving forward gradually”.
As much as he seems to be taking things in his strides, SG admits, “Creating awareness that you are here is quite difficult. That is peculiar to every new artiste. As an upcoming act, you have to work extra hard to get there. At times, I sleep in the studio just to make sure my song is ready,” the Ghanaian Nigerian-born artiste enthused.
Big Time Entertainment label boss, Mr. Kelvin Richman, originally a music promoter, floated the label not long ago and has other promising artistes such as KDF Williams, who was educated in Paris. He has a new single called Cinderella.
According to KDF, “It is not my first single though; my first single is on YouTube. It is called Beautiful and has received 80 million views”.
The third person on the label is Okonkwo Chibuke, also known as Ferzcy, who also has a single called So Fine. According to him, “It is a love song for every lady out there. Every guy should sing it for his lady to show how much he appreciates her”.
