PEN Nigeria celebrates International Women’s Day 2018 today

The Women Writers Committee of PEN Nigeria, in collaboration with the Executive Council of Nigerian Centre of PEN International (PEN Nigeria) and the Department of English, University of Lagos, has announced a series of activities to commemorate the 2018 International Women’s Day.
The Women Writers Committee of PEN Nigeria, in collaboration with the Executive Council of Nigerian Centre of PEN International (PEN Nigeria) and the Department of English, University of Lagos, has announced a series of activities to commemorate the 2018 International Women’s Day. The main event will take place at Functions Room (Room 307), Department of English, University of Lagos, on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 11am. Highlights of the day will include readings and presentations by writers and academics. Prof Karen King Aribisala will be reading one of her stirring stories while a lecture titled ‘Women and the Burden of Existence’ would be delivered by Dr. Wunmi Oni of Department of English, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos. The event is expected to have writers, academics, students and the media in attendance.
