IMG-20150117-WA001 (1)Segun Jegede will be presenting his Rwandan Genocide to the public on October 14, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the distinguished chairmanship of Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, OFR. The book is a product of Jegede’s 13-year stint at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.

It provides an absorbing account of the pre-genocide history of Rwanda, including the often overlooked components that make the Rwandan genocide one of the worst human tragedies of our time.

This unique book also deals exhaustively with the prosecution of those who bear the greatest responsibility for the genocide, and documents several ground breaking decisions of the United Nations court.

The presentation will be marked by a keynote speech by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the theme: “The Global Future of International Criminal Justice: The Nigerian Connection” while the book will be reviewed by Professor Akin Oyebode.
