Singing is what Ayo Ajiboye, a Nigerian gospel artiste knows how do best and he does it with such passion. On December 18, 2016, he launched his album titled Assurance; it has six tracks. Eh had previously released two albums.

According to the computer science graduate, the inspiration behind the third album is the economic recession in the country.

As he put it, “I noticed that people are worried and there is so much tension in the country. God gave me the word that there will be peace and assured me that there will be restoration. So, I decided to encourage people to hope in God and believe that things will get better because I have a strong feeling that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”

Right from childhood, Ajiboye had been into music but went professional 15 years ago. “I was raised in a good Christian home,” he said. “Growing up was tough but God saw me through. I grew up in the choir and played many instruments. My father is into music as well. Aside music, I am also a fashion designer.”

On his kind of music, Ajiboye said he sings to inspire people and touch lives positively, adding. “When it comes to music, a gospel artiste does not have limitation. An artiste can sing hiphop and change the lyrics. I also sing rock’n’roll but I’m more into traditional music like juju, apala and so on. A good music must have good lyrics and good instrumentation. I sing inspirational and gospel songs that uplift the soul, add value and suitable for different occasions. Lewd lyrics is a turn off for me.”
