Nihinlola wins 2018 global scholar leaders award

A theological scholar and President of Nigerian Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso, Prof Ezekiel Emiola Nihinlola has emerged the winner of 2018 Scholar Leader of the Year.  

A theological scholar and President of Nigerian Baptist Seminary, Ogbomoso, Prof Ezekiel Emiola Nihinlola has emerged the winner of 2018 Scholar Leader of the Year.

It is a unique award presented yearly by the Scholar Leaders from the United States of America (USA) in recognition of excellent performance of a leader in tertiary theological educational institutions in the world.

In a statement by Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, the award is in recognition of Nihinlola’s outstanding scholarship, exemplary faithfulness and leadership in theological education.

Nihinlola obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, where he obtained the following degrees: Bachelor of Theology, Masters in Theology and PHD in Theology.

Apart from being the President of Nigerian Baptist Seminary, he is the Chairman of Heads of Theological Institutions (HOTI) of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.  He served as a Course Developer and Writer for National Open University of Nigeria (2006-2009) and contributor to and West African Association of Theological Institutions Journal.

At international level, he is the Director of International Council for Higher Education (ICHE), West Africa Network, and also current Vice Chairman of Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA).
