Nigerian Breweries celebrates distributors, trade partners at award ceremony

Sales Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Uche Unigwe; Mrs Ken Maduakor; Chairman, Ken Maduakor Group Limited and winner, National Champions Award /2017 Best Distributor, Ken Madualor and Managing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Jordi Borrut Bel at the Company’s Distributors Award in Lagos.

The 2018 edition of the Nigerian Breweries distributors’ award ceremony was used to celebrate prominent distributors and trade partners of the premier brewer firm.Nigerians Breweries rewarded winners with brand new Mitsubishi vans, varieties of its products in large quantities and plaques, trophies for different categories.

Amazed and thrilled at the gathering, newly appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Breweries Plc Jordi Borrut Bel, lauded the partners for long years of support and affirmed that the company looks forward to a more rewarding relationship with them in the years ahead.Borrut Bel disclosed that the company is prepared for the challenges of the years ahead and sought the cooperation of the partners to win.

He attributed the success story of 72 years old iconic brand to the strength of its personnel and the Nigerian people.He said the critical challenge towards continuous performance improvement remains the capability and speed of response to changes in the business environment through people development.Commending the distributors and transporters for the distance come thus far, he said that the marketing strategy of the company evident in its rich portfolio of brands ensured that the unique needs of Nigerian Breweries customers were met, with over 19 brands, 40 SKUs and notable foot prints spread across the major regions of Nigeria to ensure consumer proximity.

The company’s Sales Director, Uche Unigwe, said that this year’s theme: “winning more together”, was conceived to recognize and reward the excellent performance of the company’s distributors.

In the exciting contest, Ken Maduakor Group Limited from Nnewi in Onitsha marketing zone beat two others to clinch the National Champions Award and the company’s best distributor for 2017.Also, Ancapas Global Investment Limited from Kaduna won the National Key Transporter Award and got a plaque, an award trophy and a Mitsubuishi L200 double cabin 4×4 DC Van.

At the raffle draw category, Priwan Ventures Limited won a Mitsubuish L200 van.Expressing excitement, one of the distributors, Dame Joy Igwe of Ifeoma Chukwuka Nigeria Limited, Port Harcourt region, who won in many categories, told The Guardian that remaining focused, hard work and commitment earned her the recognition.

She commended the Nigerian Breweries on improved services and tasked them to ensure more of its products get to consumers at the grassroots and also create more awareness for people to know more of their brands.
