NGO offers entrepreneurship training to 600 Benue youths
The Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF), a non-profit organisation promoted by wife of the Benue State Governor, Eunice Ortom is to empower no fewer than 600 youths in different areas to re-orientate towards productivity and enterprise.
Its Central Planning Chairman, Dave Ogbole, told journalists in Makurdi that the event with the theme: “Made in Benue is Possible,” holds in Makurdi this week.
Ogbole, said the two-day strategic engagement with the youths would have two participants each drawn from the 276 council wards of the 23 local councils of the state.
He said the event, which has drawn seasoned resource persons from across the country and Benue State, would have Minister for Agriculture, Audu Ogbe in attendance.
“Other objectives of the youth entrepreneurship summit are to inculcate and promote values of patriotism and nation building among Benue youths and expose them to culturally relevant and global standards of entrepreneurship skills and practices towards self-reliance.
“It will also create a network of systems and institutions that will make the dreams and skills of the Benue Youth a reality,” he stated.
He added that the participants at will not go back the same but get energised to create more employment opportunities for other youths at the end of the summit.
