FBNInsurance Brokers gets new chief executive

FBNInsurance Brokers, an affiliate of FBN Holdings has announced the appointment of Olumide Ibidapo as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The firm said the move would further unlock its potential in the insurance sector.

A statement from the company said that Ibidapo, an experienced insurance practitioner, started his career with IBN/Marsh Brokers in 1990 and rose through the ranks to management position before joining FBNInsurance Brokers in 2006.

Following FBNInsurance’s acquisition of Oasis Insurance, Ibidapo was appointed Head, Technical, of the new company, FBN General Insurance. Ibidapo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Ibadan and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.

He has over 25 years’ industry experience in insurance and risk management. Ibidapo is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) as is widely travelled. He is married with children.
