CIBN tasks professionals on entrepreneurship skills

Specifically, a speaker during the branch’s meeting urged members to diversify their professions by embracing other money spinning skills.
Chairman of the branch, Mrs Ige Taiwo, said the theme for the meeting, ‘Banking and Entrepreneurship’ was to encourage workers in banking sector to be skillful and build capacity through enrolment in various training schemes.

‘’Bankers should not only relay on their salaries alone but should also have other ways of putting foods on their tables outside banking jobs and should have the mind of being an employee of labour to the society.’’

Also speaking the guest speaker, Chief Executives Officer of Amour Global Mrs. Ifeyemi Lokoyi urged bankers to also have the mind of business rather than investing all their lifetime in banking alone.

She added that, having a business mind should also include risk taking due to there to many challenges involve in doing business ‘’but what will keep one moving is outstanding of the quality one is known for among others quantity in the market’’.
Besides Ifeyemi advised bankers who want to go into business to have a mind of pestilence even when discouragements comes all around, determination and focus should be a part and parcel of them to keep them moving and outstanding in getting a different formula from what others are doing will help keep the mind of their buyers’’.

According to the Head, National Housing Fund, Imperial Homes Mortgage Ugo Iwegbu said“to tackle unemployment in the country, there is need to encourage talents among people and how to make good impacts on the society with their skills rather than hunting for white collar jobs all around.’’

‘’Business beginners never to allow the fear of begin small to scare them off from getting started because challenges are meant to come but should not be a setback rather should make them stronger.

‘’Never do business everybody is rushing into instead learn to be unique among others’’.
